PSI-SW: Brazil’s biggest software and related services export project Today, over 100 companies from all over the country are associated with the Integrated Sectorial Project for the Export of Software and Related Services (PSI-SW), the biggest and more comprehensive software and services export plan ever implemented in Brazil. This project was developed in a joint effort with APEX-Brasil (Brazilian Export and Investments Promotion Agency) and SOFTEX (Society for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software) The Project goal is to increase IT exports in 2005, to improve Brazilian software exposure and visibility in foreign countries and building an image of reliability and capability for Brazilian IT.
Designed to meet the national industry needs as well to maintain the focus on projects capable of generating business results, it covers several initiatives pertaining segments in which Brazil is acknowledged by its competence, such as e-Government, Internet, Telecommunications and Finance.
PSI-SW offers several benefits to its members, among them access to qualified information about target markets, business support in foreign countries, participation in international trade fairs and events, support to obtain export financing (pre-shipment and post-shipment). PSI-SW also offers support with trademark and software registration, localization, subsidiary creation and legal advising.
SOFTEX has the partnership and support from Regional Agents, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) and the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce (MDC).
